The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. GBA 2012 01 Keith Johns

There is a heatwave here in Swanwick where I have come for this year's Grace Baptist Assembly. Our hosts are Keith and Pauline Johns and so Keith kicked off the whole thing this afternoon with a gentle and well judged opening sermon from 1 Kings 19. His main points were
1. The mysterious fluctuations of gospel work
2. The pastoral heart of the sovereign Lord
3. A certain vindication of those who are faithful
