The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. Midweek Meeting November 12 2025
Eddie led prayer meeting last night. He took us to Acts 9 and looked at it from the angle of persecution and converted persecutors. We prayed first for North Korea, Northern Nigeria and Iran and then for more usual matters. All five of us plus one on zoom prayed twice. A good evening.
