'Salem' is a 1908 water colour painting on paper of a small Baptist chapel in Cefncymerau, Llanbedr, near Harlech, North Wales. The chapel was built in 1850. The artist was Sidney Curnow Vosper (1866-1942) who often visited the chapel when he holidayed in the area with his Welsh wife. Because of this painting, Salem is perhaps the most famous place of worship in Wales. We visited it yesteday (April 9 2012). More here.
The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. For my stance on worldliness, see 3 posts here.
