The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. Midweek Meeting September 4 2024
We carried on with Romans 6 last night. There were nine of us there. We looked at verses 6-14. We then prayed about everything from Ukraine to Grenfell to beach missions to accommodation to next Sunday. Nearly everyone took part praying aloud. This is the place to be.
