The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culturehere. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. Modern Life
This was sent to me today. You've all seen this sort of thing. It's one of the things that reminds you that you are living in a world that is and is not like previous ones. I knew it was genuine as I don't bank with Barclays but my bank always begins "Dear esteemed customer".
