The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. Midweek Meeting December 18 2024
We looked at another Christmas hymn last night - O little town of Bethlehem this time. Things were a little unusual in that we started with just three of us and then two others joined. There were also three online. The talk was short and so by the time we had prayed it was still not 9 O'clock quite.
