The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. Lord's Day August 24 2025
It was a good Lord's Day when we last met. As usual now we had a larger morning service and a smaller evening one. There was a new Iranian lasy in the morning and the Iranian family came again. I resumed my series in Ephesians 6 and spoke on the belt of truth in the morning. In thevening I took a text - Jeremiah 6:16.
