The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. I hear Pete Seeger has died. See here. I was looking for a version of Turn Turn Turn but spotted this. I remember my mother singing this gospel song that he re-discovered. I notice it includes the line "meet my mother on the other side". You betcha.
