The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. For my stance on worldliness, see 3 posts here.

Guernsey

My wife and I are currently in Guernsey with our good friends Robert and Elaine Yerby. It is my fourth of fifth time on the island which is lovely and quiet and rural. I am chiefly here to preach at the anniversary services of La Villiaze Congregational Church where Robert has been pastor these last five years. I preached yesterday evening (Friday) and will reach tomorrow morning and evening, God willing. There is a meal tonight in a local hotel.
On arriving here, I received an interesting message from my mobule provider. It begins "Tesco Mobile: Welcome to JERSEY, which is one of our Home From Home destinations - using data and calling/texting UK & Home From Home numbers will come out of any free credit or bundles you have. Picture messages will be 55p to send ...."
