The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. Fortieth Anniversary

Last Saturday we were celebrating my 40 year anniversary as minister here in Childs Hill. It was lovely to see the chapel full with old friends - family, former members, fellow ministers, etc. Robert Strivens preached an excellent semon from 1 Timothy 1:12 and my long serving deacon Paul Priest assembled four members and former members to say nice things about me. There was a wonderful cake (made by one of our Iranian members) and loads of food to follow. I also made a slide presentation of the history of the church which people enjoyed. Thanks yoou for all the cards, money, flowers, etc. Very kind iindeed. God is so good.
