The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. For my stance on worldliness, see 3 posts here.

Le Clochard (Bread)

Here's another Focus track with images. Jan Akkerman is on guitar with accompaniment from Thijs Van Leer. Le Clochard (Bread) is the second track on the first side of the second album, known best as Moving Waves. The pictures were found here.

"known best as Moving Waves" What's the story? I remember looking at the album in a record shop. I knew the music but even more the cover. Older boys at school were listening to Focus.

In Holland it was released at Focus 2 (also the name of a track). Someone here in marketing decided to name it after one of the tracks and give it that nice wave cover that did look good for carrying around as one did in the seventies. (Something similar happened with the first album, which eventually was called In and out of Focus and was released with a gatefold sleeve with dots where the word Focus actually went in and out of Focus). Ah, the seventies!
