The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. Day Off Week 39 2025
There was the usual reading and walking and coffee last Tuesday but things were alittle different in that I had to be at a meeting in Ashford in the morning. I went by train and had a McDonalds there for lunch before getting back. By the time I was home I was not quite relaxed and rather wasted the evening indulging in Milton Jones and Tim Vine videos (all clean which is a blessing).
