The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. For my stance on worldliness, see 3 posts here.

Evangelical Library Lecture Monday January 25 2021

I haven't had chance to mention this because I was unwell but we had a very good time online just over a week ago in connection with the Evangelical Library. About twenty of us tuned in to hear Norman Hopkins give the first of this year's Spring Lunch Time Lectures. He spoke on the missionary to West Africa, Alfred Saker (1814-1880). Saker ought to be better known. He did a wonderful pioneer work in Cameroon. We are very thankful to Norman Hopkins for giving us this paper. Audio copies should be available from the Library soon. On February 22 we will have another lecture when Robert Strivens will speak on Stephen Charnock and the Doctrine of God. Watch out for details.
