The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. For my stance on worldliness, see 3 posts here.

New Year 2024/2025

Despite having had a whole week of holiday at the end of 2024 we still managed to fit in another week of festivity, this time mostly in Cardiff where my wife had kindly arranged an Airbnb near her sister's in Cardiff. To be fair there were many more presents to give and receive, more food to be eaten, more games to play, another jigsaw to (almost) complete, etc. So more late nights and mornings, a little bit of walking in the cold air and so on. We went home via Newport and were able to see my sister and her husband and two of her step children. That was nice.
