The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. New Title for the Blog?


One of my members misread a link. He thought it said Heavenly Wordiness. Is he trying to tell me something?

Someone else said 'Heavenly worldliness? What like somewhere between the two?' No! I just mean heavenly-minded but not ignoring what goes on under the sun.
