The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. For my stance on worldliness, see 3 posts here.

Wow! A comment from John Calvin...talk about a selective readership! I can't even get a comment from Finney!!

I'd expect Calvin to know.
BTW Andrew I've got a theory about Calvin. (As for Finney why would a footballer want to comment on your blog?)
And Calvin, any news on Bud Abbott yet? (yes you do!)
I suppose I'd better try find another STM.

You'll find Scanning tunneling Microscopy interesting (try Google), Standard Technical Merchandise (an Australian company devoted to designing laptop luggage) less so. Short Term Memory and Sunday times Magazine you know about. I just meant Spot The Mistake.

I tried to order a Bud Abbott recently but was told I had confused two slightly differing products.

That's a little like thinking the current US president is Busch and there was an Anheuser in the fifties.
