The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. For my stance on worldliness, see 3 posts here.

10 Short lived Puritans

Although 17th Century life expectancy was quite low as an average (due partly to a high infant mortality rate) many did live long lives. Many others did not. Here are the names of 10 Puritans who lived pretty short lives indeed yet managed to achieve much good before they departed. They should stir us to godly living now while we have time. Six of the 10 are Scotsman. I'm not sure if there's any connection.
1. Andrew Gray 1633-1656 23
2. Hugh Binning 1627-1653 26
3. Henry Scougal 1650-1678 28
4. Henry Smith 1560-1591 31
5. William Pemble 1591-1623 32
6. Christopher Love 1618-1651 33
7. Joseph Alleine 1634-1668 34
8. George Gillespie 1613-1648 35
9. James Durham 1622-1658 36
10. Thomas Halyburton 1674-1712 38
