Week of Prayer

In the church where I grew up we used to begin the year witha week of prayer. A good idea. Where I am presently the first week in January is not a good time for calling people together and so in recent years we have begun to have our week of prayer in September. More recently again we have begun to set aside another week in the early Spring too (usually in February). It is on this week. We have a series of some six special prayer meetings at different times (early morning, breakfast, mid-morning and in the evening). It's a blessing to be involved. We all need stirring up to pray.
