The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. Midweek Meeting July 9 2020
Midweek zoom time again on Wednesday night. We looked at 1 Chronicles 3. I split it into three and that helped for reading the passage. Again three straightforward points - David's many sons and these shadows of Messiah false and true; David's many descendants who were kings - more shadows of Messiah false and true; David's descendants after the exile and the darker shadows of Messiah. As usual we were able to pray and numbers were decent yet again.
