The similar phrase 'Worldly Christianity' is one used by Bonhoeffer. It's J Gresham Machen that I want to line up most closely with. See his Christianity and culture here. Having done commentaries on Proverbs (Heavenly Wisdom) and Song of Songs (Heavenly Love), a matching title for Ecclesiastes would be Heavenly Worldliness. For my stance on worldliness, see 3 posts here.

Thanks Phil. Well spotted. In point of fact both pubs that were here in Childs Hill when I arrived have now closed down. I'd like to think it was a change for the better but I'm not sure it is.

Didn't you tell us the rider on the white horse was Christ?

Nicely spotted. I was just giving the usual interpretation. I am swayed by the later appearance of a rider on a white horse who is certainly Christ.
